About Cádiz
Conil de la Frontera is brilliantly situated for exploring Cádiz, its picturesque inland towns, coast and countryside.

The Great Outdoors

Conil and neighbouring El Palmar are surfing hotspots, with surf schools, wind surfing, kite surfing and bodyboarding in abundance along the coast with plenty of schools and board hire shops close by. There’s also fabulous diving, snorkelling and paddle boarding areas.
Mountain and road cycling are extremely popular, with fantastic off road routes to explore both along the coast, through pine forests and rolling hills inland. Bike hire is easy with three shops just around the corner to the house whether it be Road, Mountain, Touring, Electric and even fat bikes. All are widely available.
With horses being such a significant part of Andalusian culture, there are a wealth of options to explore the beaches and countryside by horseback and plenty of stables to arrange this through. If you're a golf fan there's also five 18-hole golf courses within 15 miles of the town.
Nature

The area has an extremely rich and varied natural heritage with the National Parks Sierra de Grazalema and Los Arcornocales, the Natural Park of La Breña and the marshes of Barbate.
The nearby area around Tarifa is one of the finest locations in Europe for watching the spring and autumn bird migrations to and from Africa. Species include Black Kites, White Storks, European Honey Buzzards, and many more.
April to October you can also take boat tours on the straight of Gibraltar to watch Orca, Pilot, Fin and Sperm Whales along with Common, Striped and Bottlenosed Dolphins.

About Conil de la Frontera
Conil de la Frontera combines the beauty of white hillside houses with the charm of a traditional fishing village, with its 14km beautiful beach interspersed with sandy bays and coves.
With over 3,000 hours of sunshine it's a fabulous place to visit year round and as a working town it retains its soul even during the cooler months, with fiestas taking place year round. Even in winter when the streets are lined with orange trees, lunch can be enjoyed in the sun in temperatures between 17°c and 22°c.
Conil was, and is, a fishing town, known country wide for its fresh tuna and seafood and it has retained a lovely friendly feel. Getting lost amongst the whitewashed streets is an excellent way to explore, with everything in walking distance.

The area surrounding Conil is also a well kept Spanish secret, known for its unspoilt beaches, white hillside villages and relaxed way of life.
From the beautiful hilltop town of Vejer de la Frontera, the laid back 3,100 year old Moorish city of Cadiz, the beachside Roman ruins of Baelo Claudio, the old fort of Tarifa, the sherry bodegas and famous Andalusian horses of Jerez. And that’s not to mention the flamenco, orange trees and historic sites of Seville.

If you've dreamed of experiencing authentic Spanish culture, it's all here waiting for you.
Local Gastronomy
Conil punches above its weight in terms of the number of restaurants and tapas bars, as well as the quality of its food. As an active fishing town you can expect exquisite fish and seafood dishes such as baked sea bream, stuffed squid and sea anemones.
It is Almadraba red tuna however for which Conil is known best, with tuna lovers coming from all over Spain to enjoy the various festivals and routes celebrating the Almadraba season. For meat lovers there's famous Retinto beef, sausages and chicharrones. Most international cuisine on offer.
